When the pandemic hit, I decided to embark on a journey to advance my education. I wanted to use this opportunity to become a more well-rounded business leader, and after two years at the University of San Francisco, I graduated in May 2022.
I was also awarded the Masagung Graduate School of Management Excellence in Leadership Award.
While working at Levi’s, I was on the steering committee to review new B2B platforms for our wholesale business - JOOR was one of those platforms.
I kept a close eye on the business and was contacted by a recruiter to work for Joor.
In the back half of 2020, I began to narrow the scope of industries I wanted to explore. Leveraging my fashion experience was important, so I focused on two sectors: Fashion Tech and “New-to-the-World” Materials.
That company was Modern Meadow, a biotech materials company that makes plant-based leather.
After 18 months at Levi’s, I was promoted to Director of Sales, overseeing the Regional Chains and Specialty business.
With one of the best teams, I have ever worked with, the Regional Chains and Specialty business became the most profitable, highest revenue-generating segment of all Levi Strauss & Co.
